Products We Offer

Complete Tube & Shaft
Fleetwood Continental complete tube and shaft assemblies provide a fully integrated solution for water well pump systems. Each assembly combines A53 Schedule 80 Grade B pipe, C1045 carbon steel pump shafts (turned, ground, and polished), C1215 carbon steel couplings, and C844 alloy lineshaft bearings. Built for strength, precision, and ease of installation, these assemblies ensure consistent alignment and dependable long-term performance in the field.

Open Column Assemblies
Fleetwood Continental open column assemblies are engineered for strength, precision, and long-term reliability. Assemblies include C1045 carbon steel pump shafts, precision turned, ground, and polished, paired with C1215 carbon steel couplings, 304 stainless steel glue-on sleeves, and C844 bronze retainers. Designed to meet industry standards for alignment and performance in water well installations.

Sand Collars, Lantern & Wear Rings
Fleetwood Continental manufactures sand collars, lantern rings, and wear rings to manage debris, reduce wear, and maintain proper alignment within pump assemblies. Available in a wide range of bronze alloys—including C844, C932 (SAE 660), C89835 (lead-free), C954 (aluminum bronze), and C936—these components are selected based on application demands, environmental conditions, and customer requirements. Each part is produced with attention to material quality, dimensional accuracy, and durability.


Founder Of Fleetwood Dave Forster
1937-2022
David J. Forster studied mechanical engineering at London University while working as an engineering apprentice in aircraft flight systems and graduated with honors in 1961. He worked as an engineer in England until September 1968, when he emigrated to the U.S. to work at Fleetwood Metals as an expert on the continuous casting of bronze.
He served as Executive Vice President at Fleetwood Metals from 1970 until May 1975, when he started his own competing company, Continental Bronze, in Torrance, California. In March 1981, David acquired the assets of Fleetwood Metals, and in 1988 the newly combined company was relaunched as Fleetwood Continental, Inc. Company operations moved to their current location in Rancho Dominguez in 1988 and continue to this day, now employing over 60 people.
